🐚  How to order?

Add one of my three tiers of seashell portrait packages to your cart.  The listing will prompt you to note how many people (or animals), what shadow box color you want, the frame size, and upload photos to your order.  

If you're opting for a special frame (other than the shadow boxes) or matting, be sure to add that to your cart too.

🐚  Can you do more than 7 people?

Yes! I have done up to 16 people before, but could theoretically do more.  Contact me directly for pricing on more than 7.  Frames that large vary greatly in price, but I can work with you to find something that fits your budget and vision.

🐚  What is the best way to contact you?

For speediest response, please contact me via Facebook messenger or instagram direct message. You can contact me via this website too!

🐚  Antique and special frames?

I usually keep a variety of antique frames on hand, if you find one you would like, order your portrait and select "antique frame" as the frame color and size.  Then, seperately add the antique frame from my shop page that you would like your portrait in.  Please note the descriptions of the frames to see how many people your frame will fit and if you will need a mat. 

If you have a specific frame in mind  I am happy to make a portrait in any frame of you choice for the difference in price that better suits your style. 

🐚  What types of seashell portraits do you offer?

All of my seashell portraits are handmade to order and inspired directly from your family's photos or your special requests. 

I offer three tiers of commissioned portraits to try to accommodate different expectations, visions, and budgets.  Whatever package best fits your needs-- it is guaranteed to be a one of a kind piece of art that captures the essence of your loved ones. 

I also make biblical scenes out of seashells, and if you have a special request besides a family portrait, I would be more than happy to work with you.  Please let me know what you have in mind!

🐚  How does the personalization process work?

The personalization process includes you sending me photos of the people you would like pictured in the seashell portrait.

I will send you a rough draft of your seashell portrait prior to gluing, allowing you to collaborate closely with me to ensure the final piece meets your expectations... different packages include differing amounts of edits to fit your needs.  

🐚 What materials are used in the seashell portraits?

All of my seashells are hand sourced by my family and me in Amelia Island, Florida!  All seashells are ethically sourced-- meaning I follow government limitations on the amount of seashells that can be collected, they are broken and not suitable homes for wildlife, and never include living animals inside of them.  We always aim to leave the beach cleaner than we found it and support the natural world while beach combing!

Some of the sea glass in my pieces is purchased online or handmade in a sea glass tumbler. 

🐚 Can I make special requests for my portrait?

Yes! I love them!  I do encourage customers that may have special requests to reach out to me on social media prior to placing their order to discuss. 

The "Signature Portrait" package is right for you if you want to add special requests.  

I will always try my best to fulfill special requests, but shell availability is obviously left up to nature, so some requests may have a longer turn around time.

Customers will be invoiced for any additional charges incurred from special requests made after payment. 

🐚 What is the typical turnaround time for a seashell portrait?

Right now I have a waitlist into January.  If you have a specific date in mind that you need a portrait by, please reach out and let me know and I will do my best to get it to you in time. Rush options and expedited shipping are also available. 

🐚 How do you package and ship your pieces?

I package each piece to best protect it, with bubble wrap, paper, foam, and cardboard. I am big on sustainability, so use almost exclusively recycled materials for packaging.  My packaging does not include unnecessary, pretty waste, but is aimed to protect and deliver your portrait to you in the most sustainable and safe way I can. 

🐚 Do you offer any guarantees on your products?

Each piece is crafted with care, and I strive for customer satisfaction.  Each of my pieces is a collaboration between the customer and me. 

I package the art in a way that should best protect it during shipping, but sometimes shells have fallen loose.  All packages come with up to $100 insurance on them, and any damage that occurs during shipping can use that insurance to ship it back to me to be repaired if necessary. 

Due to the handmade nature of the product, I do not offer returns under any circumstances, but if you have significant damage to a product or any concerns regarding your order, please contact me so I can help!
